Limited Capacity filling up

The Baby Boomers of the Appelbaum era taught us about customer service through phone calls. Boy, have times changed. While Generation X has some tolerance for phone calls but prefers email, Millennials want text messages and push notifications. Why does all this matter? These are today's camp parents - and if you're not communicating on their level, you might be missing them. What are your communication goals during the summer? What is your camp’s philosophy- and does it match the philosophy of the current generation of camp parents? How do you coach your middle management team that has very little experience speaking with upset parents? When do you call vs. text/email/DM – and what are other camps doing in regard to photos, newsletters, notes and other communication channels? Come prepared to learn as well as share. One size does not fit all on this one; while some camps need to change with the times in many aspects, others should hold close to their old-school standards.
